Waypoint Partners is delighted to have advised Clarity, the global communications agency with deep expertise across the technology sector, with offices in Benelux, London, NY, San Francisco, LA and Cornwall, on their acquisition of 3WhiteHats, a leading creative, SEO, paid and analytics agency.
The acquisition brings Clarity’s global headcount to 86-strong, with 32 people operating across the UK. 3WhiteHats is headquartered in Cornwall and London and works for clients including Aon, Invesco, Picturehouse Cinemas, Abellio and the BlueMarine Foundation.
The deal brings deep analytics, creative paid and SEO capabilities to Clarity’s growing suite of products and services. This represents a major step towards realising Clarity’s vision for a new kind of communications agency, an agency that’s uniquely focused on harnessing data and analytics to drive high impact, omnichannel campaigns that deliver measurable results.
Clarity and 3WhiteHats have long partnered on campaigns, so it made sense to turn this partnership into an acquisition, with clear benefits for both leadership teams as well as for clients.
In coming together as one team, under a unified brand, Clarity can deliver a more cohesive client experience and transformational work that moves the needle.
Clarity’s founder and CEO said the acquisition was “an important milestone.”
“We’re always looking for ways to use acquisitions to accelerate our progress in major growth pillars, whether that’s new geographies, new industries to play in, or new capabilities and skills. We’ve made a lot of progress in that third bucket recently as we move from a straightforward media relations agency to something more integrated, and when I met Tom it was immediately obvious that 3WhiteHats could bring a range of capabilities and products to really amplify our business and help us develop a more sophisticated value proposition.
This is a unique moment in time for progressive, entrepreneurial agencies to seize the initiative and take advantage of unprecedented market conditions that present an incredible opportunity for significant value creation via M&A.
Partnering with Waypoint Partners and leaning on their broad experience, perspective and network has proven invaluable in helping us develop and execute against our M&A strategy, and drive transformational change for our business.”
